POVIDONE – MOFED – Povidone Iodine ,Vaseline

Each 1 gm contains:

Povidone Iodine           100 mg

Vaseline      add to 1 g.

PACKAGING: 200 gm

Used as an aid in treatment or prevention of local infections in cases of wounds, abscesses, burns and fungal infections, e.g. disinfection of the navel, removal of horns, castration, ringworm, disinfection prior to injection or surgery

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: None   

STORAGE: Store in a dry place ,(below 30°).

After cleaning the infected area with warm water and soap, dry thoroughly, and then apply the ointment daily until healing

Apply ointment to the wound and surrounding area. Usually one treatment is sufficient to prevent infection.

If used therapeutically when infection is present, treatment may be repeated several times daily as required.

May be bandaged.

In case of deep or puncture wounds, or serious burns consult a veterinarian.

Do not use if hypersensitivity to iodine is suspected. If irritation, redness or swelling develops, discontinue treatment.

Avoid application over large skin areas.
