109 POVIDONE-MOFED (Ointment) – Povidone Iodine

COMPOSITION :Each 1 gm contains:

Povidone Iodine    100 mg
Vaseline added up to 1 g.

PACKAGING : 100 gm

Used in treatment and prevention of local infections in case of wounds, abscesses, burns and fungal infections, including navel disinfection, dehorning, castration, ringworms, disinfection prior to injection or surgery.

After cleaning the infected area with warm water and soap, dry thoroughly, then apply the ointment daily until healing

Apply the ointment on the wound and its surroundings.
Usually, one use is sufficient to prevent infection.
If used as a treatment after infection, it could be repeated several times a day as required.
Bandage can be used in case of deep or puncture wounds, or serious burns, consult a veterinarian.
Do not use in patients with iodine hypersensitivity. If the animal developed irritation, redness or swelling, the treatment must be stopped.
Avoid applying on large areas of skin.
