490 MEIOXIDERN SUSPENSION – Meloxicam

Each tablet contains:

Meloxicam  1.5 mg

Meloxicdern is an anti-inflammatory drug, primarily used in dogs for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthri-
tis and other musculoskeletal disorders.
It functions by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, leading to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties. Meloxicdern is also commonly used to allectvate post-operative following orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.

Initial dose: 0.2 mg meloxicam per kg of body weight on the first day.
Maintenance dose: 0.1 mg meloxicam per kg of body weight once daily (at 24-hour intervals).
Dosing procedure using the dropper:
Initial dose: 4 drops per Kg of body weight.
Maintenance dose: 2 drops per kg of body weight.
mixed with food or directly into the mouth.
