Chemical Composition

Phosphoric Acid (H3PO4) 85% (w/v)

Properties

  • It plays an effective role in increasing the activity of microorganisms in the soil, which indirectly helps to enhance plant nutrition.
  • It is considered one of the important elements in the fertilization process, which works to store and transport energy within the plant.
  • It contributes to improving root formation, increases flowering, and contributes to faster crop ripening.
  • It is a primary source of phosphorus necessary for plant growth, compensating for phosphorus deficiency within the plant, and treating the symptoms of phosphorus deficiency.
  • The fertilizer is completely soluble in water, making it ideal for various irrigation systems.

Application Rate and Method

Phosphoric acid is primarily used through irrigation systems (drip or flood) after dilution with water. Concentrated foliar spraying or direct, undiluted application to the soil should be avoided to prevent damage to plants and soil microorganisms.

Crop Application rate Irrigation System
Vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, beans) 2-5 liters/acre Drip Irrigation
Fruit trees (date palms, olive trees) 3-6 liters/acre Drip Irrigation
Field crops (wheat, corn) 10-13 liters/acre Flood Irrigation
Ornamental plants 1-4 liters/acre Drip/Sprinkler Irrigation
